ROWBOTS X IMPEAKIN invites you to join ‘The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge’ which takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th April 2023.

 

It’s time to challenge your #MachineMindset alongside your favourite ROWBOTS coaches as we take on the iconic Yorkshire 3 Peaks as a team! Guaranteed to test your physical strength and mental STAMINA in this once in a lifetime experience.

 

Hosted by Sammy Harper and Esmée Gummer from IMPEAKIN and your favourite ROWBOTS trainers, your challenge will begin at 6am on Saturday 15th April at the start point in Settle where you will set off as a team and tackle 38.6km of mountainous terrain, taking on 1585m of elevation. The aim is to complete the challenge as a team as quickly as possible by hiking and running on flat and declining terrains.

 

Solo ticket costs: £220 per person.

Bring a mate: £396 for two people.

Itinerary:

 

Friday 14th April – Arrival Day 

  • Arrive at your leisure & settle in
  • Pub social – meet up with the team on Friday evening, get pumped for challenge day!

 

Saturday 15th April – Day 1

  • Arrive at the start point to gear up and fill your rucksack with our provided snacks and goody bags
  • Set off on the challenge, it’s time…to #SwitchOn!
  • Finish challenge at a local pub for a well earned drink
  • Head back for a quick freshen up and get party ready! It’s time to celebrate YOU!
  • Celebration dinner and drinks with the team. Expect awards, medals, speeches and more!

 

Sunday 16th April – Day 2

  • Morning after recovery pack to start your day – filled with treats to energise your mind and body
  • Chilled walk and shake off – alternatively feel free to to head home!
  • Relax, breathe, unwind
  • Stick around in Yorkshire to enjoy some downtime or head back home and put your feet up. You’ve earned it!

 

FAQ’S

 

1. Will I be assigned a trainer or will we be tackling the challenge as a group?

Yes you will be assigned a trainer to help you conquer the challenge in smaller groups! This is all about team work and getting across the finish line as one! Email sammy@rowbots.co.uk if you have a preference on your trainer – choose between Pelé, Sammy, Matteo, Nickol or Uche!

2. What fitness level do I need to be to take on this challenge?

You need to be willing to do a bit of gentle jogging on the challenge. Once we are aware of the abilities within the group, we have the option to cater for all. If you’re worried about your fitness level don’t create barriers – our aim is to get EVERYONE through this challenge.

3. Can I come alone?

Yes of course! Come solo and join other adventurers in an air bnb with some new mates from the group.

4. What time will the challenge start and end?

We will meet at the start point in Horton in Ribblesdale at 5:45am where you’ll be led through a group warm up to get those vibes going before we all set off as a team. We will head off by 6am. We aim to finish early in the evening. Please note the starting point is the end point.

5. Will I need to bring my own food and drink?

You will need to bring your own lunch, snacks and water. All of this prep info will be covered in our pre-challenge Zoom workshop.

6. How do I get there?
The nearest station to the start point is Horton In Ribblesdale. Trains from London run regularly via Leeds and take approx. 3 – 4 hours depending on your connection. If you have a car (if not you can easily rent one) we recommend reaching out to your fellow ROWBOTS and car share. Split the cost, buy some snacks and enjoy each other’s company on the drive up.

7. Where can I stay?

8. Will I get to know everyone before? 

We encourage everyone to take part in all planned socials, ROWBOTS classes, Zoom sessions and the community Whatsapp group as much as possible. This way you can get to know each other pre challenge and also get comfortable with your teammates, coaches and make sure you feel as prepared as possible.

9. How will I communicate with other participants? 

Once you book your spot you will be added to the team Whatsapp group chat. This is where you can get to know your teammates better, share how your training is going, coordinate on plans and start to get hyped about challenge day.

10. How do I book my Myoset recovery lounge session?

As part of your ticket you are invited to Myoset for a recovery lounge session. This includes use of all Hyperice Normatec range (compression boots, shorts, and sleeves) as well as Hyperice Venom back and massage gun. Recharge, unwind and give the body some love. 11. Will there be any socials, workshops or events I can attend before challenge weekend? 

Yes! We have organised three events specifically for those who are taking on the challenge. Please see below for the three SAVE THE DATES, get them in your diary and be sure to get involved as much as you can. The more you get involved the more you are going to get out of the whole experience.

 

Monday 13th March. 7:30-8:30pm. Team Session & Social (optional): We will all be taking on Sammy’s 7.30pm RESET class at ROWBOTS City. Book in using one of your 3 credits Come along for a team sweat and good vibes.

 

Monday 27th March. 7.30-8:30pm. Pre-challenge Handbook workshop: Join Esmee live on Zoom for a 30 minute Q&A. Here we will be going over every detail about the weekend itself which is all included in your Yorkshire 3 Peaks handbook.

 

Thursday 13th April 6:30-8pm. Pre-Challenge “Get Pumped” Social & Evening City Hike (optional): Meet at ROWBOTS Fitzrovia at 6.30pm to drop your bag where we will head out together for an evening city stroll as a team. Get pumped for the weekend ahead, talk tactics with your fellow ROWBOTS and end back at the studio for a shake on us.
