Our classes are custom created, for ROWBOTS, by a team of specialists including competition power-lifters, Olympic rowers, professional athletes and mental health professionals to create a holistic workout for mind and body, thoroughly backed by science and understanding

Dan is the ROWBOTS Psychology Programmer, helping us to build and integrate scientifically-underpinned, evidence-based psychology processes and techniques into the ROWBOTS workouts.
Dan is a qualified and registered sport psychologist with the HCPC. With over 20 years experience in high performance sport he has worked with some of the leading athletes and coaches in the world. Dan has held senior psychology positions in British sport and is a sought after consultant and speaker for sporting governing bodies, organisations and teams globally. As a former professional golfer, Dan knows first-hand what it’s like to strive to high perform in challenging environments and compete under the most intense pressure. He has written four best-selling books and is host of one of the most popular sport psychology podcasts, The Sport Psych Show.

In his first five seasons with the GB Rowing Team senior squad, Will won Olympic gold and bronze medals either side of three successive World Championships titles. Will stroked the men’s eight to a memorable victory at Rio 2016 having won bronze with George Nash in the men’s pair four years earlier in London
Ben is a former International Rower with the Great Britain Team and has 15+ years’ experience as a professional coach. Ben’s specialism is drawing out the best from every individual. As well as his extensive experience in rowing, Ben holds an honours degree in Leadership & Sports Psychology, training in Mindfulness-based CBT and is qualified in Cognitive-Behavioural Coaching. Ben works with our instructors to ensure trainers teach perfect technique and melding the physical, technical and mental components of our workouts – ensuring that the impact of the ROWBOTS experience lasts well beyond the class itself

Pele’s favourite theme is our signature #SwitchOn class. He believes that this class leaves no stone unturned when it comes to building a strong body, and an even stronger mind. Whether we’re talking about BIG partner sweats or gruelling AMRAP’s & EMOM’s, #SwtichOn really is the true test of mental and physical fitness.
Hendrick aka Superman is a well known fitness icon within the fitness industry with over 10+ years experience as an athlete , trainer and GB powerlifter.
His goals as a trainer are not just to motivate you, but to kick start your self-belief and to remind you that every workout is getting you stronger.
Hendrick’s favourite theme is
RESET. After battling gambling addiction for 10 years , Hendrick had taken a massive reset with life, so this theme plays close to his heart. Allowing the mind to shut down , reprogram and come back to stronger to believe he can do better!
Tess’s approach is to develop training as a long-term lifestyle habit, ensuring that the process is both enjoyable and sustainable. She works with a lot of clients to fix their injuries and imbalances in order to enhance their performance. Founder of Women’s Lifting Workshops, Tess champions strength training and is all about moving with correct form, empowering women to feel confident both inside and out in order to unlock their full potential. Her deep understanding of fitness comes through in class and will have you feeling both empowered and educated allowing you to progress both in and outside of The Machine Room.
Tess’s favourite theme is ENERGY because training smart is non-negotiable for her. Tess has learned the importance of managing her energy and being efficient with how she distributes it based on past experiences that have left her running on empty both mentally and physically.
Matteo focuses on getting you fitter, faster and stronger whilst having a good time in the process. He is a firm believer that fitness starts with the mind and works its way outwards. His motto is “workout because you love your body, not because you hate it!” Matteo will have you working to your limits whilst instilling confidence in your abilities and bringing you the biggest tunes and energy to push you through.
Matteo’s favourite theme is FREESTYLE because it reflects how he likes to live on a daily basis – a good, strong and important foundation made of work and love, enhanced with creativity and a spicy, unpredictable lifestyle.
Nicole is an ex-body building competitor turned fitness yogi. She loves training for strength alongside understanding recovery and mental stability. Nicole’s passion for all-round health will ensure you work until failure and will bring you back to your zen on the mat.
Nicole’s favourite theme is STAMINA because in life, when the going gets tough, we have no choice but to get tougher. It helps her physically to train her body and mentally to keep moving, understanding that the pain is temporary. With that being said, she also loves long, endurance training as it becomes more of a head-space session, conditioning both body and mind.
Jamie is just your average guy. Been in the fitness industry since he was 19. Easily bribed with food. Often mistaken for grumpy cat. Told he looks older than he actually is. Gets himself into awkward and embarrassing situations far more than anyone really should. Will not tolerate slacking unless bribed with food.
Jamie’s favourite theme is STAMINA. “Not only have I been teaching it from the very beginning of my journey with ROWBOTS but also as it’s the one I resonate with most. Having been engrossed with the theme so much has helped me understand to not be overcome with the burden of problems and obstacles when they arise. It helps remind me to focus on what’s in front and keep driving forwards mentally, emotionally and physically.”
Simon is a personal trainer, the World’s tallest footballer and our Head of Community! He believes that everything you do in life forms you as a person. Only you will put in the hard work for yourself. His contagious smile and happy-go-lucky personality will leave you feeling reenergised and recharged!
Simon’s favourite theme is RESET. This is where he can really challenge himself by hitting the point of failure, challenging his mind and body to push through any barriers and come back stronger.
Johnny began competing in gymnastics when he was nine years old, followed by a professional and international football career for 12.5yrs.
He channels his motivating and competitive nature into every class he leads. He believes success in fitness is contagious, encouraging friends and family to join in his workouts as much as possible. He is known for his upbeat personality and motivating, high-energy classes across a wide range of modalities and teaches most themes.
Johnny thrives on guiding athletes to the finish line and helping everyone feel like a champion. He believes when you realize your potential is limitless, attaining your goals becomes your new normal. After Johnny’s class you will feel inspired, accomplished, and energized.
Johnny’s favourite theme is the signature #SwitchOn class. He believes this class leaves you feeling glazed and high on endorphins after a surging full body workout, feeling physically and mentally stronger, accomplished, empowered and with focussed mind.
He loves how #SwitchOn shows members that fitness is fun and when you enjoy it, you can embrace and achieve greater levels of fitness physically and mentally when the ‘body&mind’ become one.
Coach Banks is a no-nonsense, get the job done trainer. He believes that you are who you think you are and that mindset is key. He loves to push every single one of his class attendees above and beyond their perceived ‘limits’.

Courtnay is an energetic and passionate coach who’s dedicated to sharing her love of fitness and getting more people moving well. She is focused on functional strength so that people can feel stronger and more capable in their day to day lives. As an ex-competitive rower and athlete, Courtnay now encourages everyone to find their inner athlete by adopting a tenacious mindset and finding that extra 1%. Courtnay brings the turbulent and energetic atmosphere of rowing on the water right into the studio, supporting you as you race your own race and take your win. Her favourite quote is ‘do something today that your future self will thank you for’ and from warm up to cool down, Courtnay will have you challenging yourself and hitting those personal bests. Courtnay is also founder of Cardio Collective, and enjoys making Strength & Conditioning & running training accessible for everyone.
Courtnay’s favourite theme is ACTION because she believes that in a fast-paced world, it’s more important than ever to be focused on the process and to be present during training.
Greta came from a Sports Science background at University which led her into the world of fitness. Greta believes that health and fitness is not a one-stop destination, but an on-going process – which is why she is passionate about making this journey for you as enjoyable as possible. Greta is a firm believer in that what we enjoy, we can stay consistent with and consistency gets us to where we want to be (and further!). Plus, we get one go at this thing called life and it’s too short not to enjoy the process. That doesn’t mean the process is going to be easy though… as Greta believes that we only fulfil our true potential once we’ve stepped outside that comfort zone.
Greta’s favourite theme is #SwitchOn! After building up throughout the week #SwitchOn is the perfect opportunity to show yourself what you are capable of and to have some fun with it. After working through the themes during the week Switch On allows you to tackle, address and take what you need from that session. Perhaps drawing on a theme and mindset that resonates with you most on that particular day or creating a supersonic mix of your favourite themes from the week to pull you over the finish line. The signature hybrid class will challenge you, leave you finishing the week strong and start your weekend feeling even stronger.
